- I believe I am a perfect Libra. From my vanity to my tendency to labor over decisions.
- I cannot imagine a life without chocolate
- I feel losing weight, even 70 pounds, is not the hard part, maintenance is.
- I hate to exercise, I despise exercising, I loathe exercising
- I try to suppress my southern accent.
- When shopping for clothes I like to feel the fabrics
- I think I can only express my true self through writing
- I admire and am drawn to traits in other people that I don’t possess. Most of my friends and guys I have loved are very different from me.
- I believe the tragic things define you more than the pleasant ones
- I have an irrational fear of bugs, especially spiders and roaches.
- I try to avoid leaving the house after dark during the summer because I know large roaches are crawling on my deck. If I do leave or return I do it very quickly and try not to look around too much.
- I love the ocean but I fear it equally
- I’m left handed
- I also have green eyes.
- I'm fair skinned. My 12th grade English teacher called me her China Doll.
- I can fall in love in a matter of minutes yet it takes years for me to fall out of love
- I believe people who call themselves optimists are really pessimists and sleeve wearing pessimists, like myself, are actually more optimistic
- I still believe in fate and true love even though I become more jaded with each passing year
- My dream life involves owning a historic home in a southern downtown city, to restore it, write novels, and raise children.
- My dream life also involves finding the love of my life.
- I think I will be an extremely overprotective mom and always fear something terrible will happen to my children
- I’ve wanted to be married since I was a little girl. All my birthday candle wishes were to be married.
- I fear I won’t have children and my life will be a complete waste. I know this goes against all Feminist ideals but it’s truly how I feel.
- I have a very difficult time falling asleep and sometimes will sleep in to make up for the time I lost trying to fall asleep. I rarely sleep through the night.
- I have a crush on Russell Crowe.
- I don’t like dogs because they lick and like to brush against you when they are dirty. I do think they are beautiful animals and have great personalities.
- I hate to drive when other people are in the car but love to drive by myself on trips
- I love to sing but I never sing in front of people
- I love to dance.
- I often think of a time in my life when I lived with a guy and how great it was to have someone as an everyday part of my life.
- My greatest accomplishment in life was to graduate from college but I often wonder if it was worth the student loan debt.
- My college degree is in Elementary Teaching. I chose that major after many changes because I thought it would be most useful to me when I become a mom.
- I was an accounting major at one time but was failing out so switched to English. My job now is as an accounting clerk. I used to be a full charge bookkeeper. I think they call that irony.
- I don’t like magic
- I’m afraid of fire. This includes lighting matches and using lighters.
- I don’t like animals being hurt including hunting, nature shows, or even going to the circus
- I love red meat just as much as chicken and fish
- I love to cook but not when it feels like a duty or I’ve been working
- Sometimes I buy things at the grocery store I already have at home. I currently have 2 large containers of salt and two jars of peanut butter

- I don’t like to shop for shoes because I have a high arch and a wide foot. Most shoes do not fit me properly.

- I sleep on my stomach with one knee bent to the side
- I would not go out on a second date with a guy who was a bad tipper
- I love to hold hands but only when I really like someone
- After graduating college I backpacked through Europe by myself. I was supposed to be gone for a month but I got extremely lonely and fell ill. I came home a week and 1/2 early. It was still the best thing I've ever done in my life
- The best place I have ever traveled to was Spain (separate trip). I could totally live there.
- I would travel to just about anywhere in the world. The only things that would concern me are the insects I may encounter on these visits. You just know the bugs are disgustingly large in Africa.
- If I like a book I will read it more than once or loan it to someone. People never return loaned books. I always hope they give it to someone else. Good books really need to be shared.
- I like to see movies the first week they are out so I’m the person who tells everyone else if it was good or not.
- I haven’t been doing this recently because crowds are starting to bother me.
- Right now I’m craving an Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad and a chocolate shake. I’ve had this craving for months.
- What I miss most now that I’m dieting are not treats and fries but sweet tea
- I have very painful periods and take way more than the recommended daily dosage of Aleve during these times.
- I was a great kick ball pitcher as a kid
- I learned how to drive on a go-cart as a kid. I once flipped the go-cart a flew my passenger into the tobacco fields. Yes, she still rode with me afterwards.
- I’m prochoice but I have personal regrets.
- I don’t wear a watch regularly but when I do I wear it on the right hand
- I collect ornate necklaces. They are beautiful but very uncomfortable to wear.
- I was born one year to the day of my parent’s wedding day.
- I weighed 9 pounds, 8 ounces when I was born. I’m sure the other babies thought I was chubby.
- I have lots of moles especially on my back.
- I’m agnostic but I love to talk religion with people who don’t shut down in their “Christian superiority” or try to preach to me
- The main reason I’m agnostic is I don’t believe in doubting other religions. I think Buddhism is just as strong a religion as Christianity. I don’t believe Christians are right and everyone else is wrong. I don’t believe in “spreading Christian faith” unless people willingly want the Christian god in their life. I think heaven, if there is a heaven, is for morally strong people. It shouldn’t rely on something you say or water being sprinkled on your head when you are morally defunct in other parts of your life.
- I don’t believe in asking for forgiveness from God. It makes it too easy to do bad things. Be accountable in the present.
- My alcoholic drink of choice is a Cape Cod (Vodka & Cranberry).
- I’m very pleased when people know this and order it for me and annoyed when guys who have known me for years ask me what I want.
- I swear more when I write than I do in person, dammit.
- I’m a great swimmer but have almost drowned twice. Once in a channel when the current was pushing my mother and I away from our boat and out to sea and last moment someone heard us on the boat and threw us a line. The other time was during my Grandfather’s birthday party. I had been playing all day in the pool and exhausted myself. There were tons of people around for the party but no one could tell I was drowning. Finally someone noticed, my grandfather I think, and jumped in and saved me. I was a preteen during both these occasions.
- I was once engaged. I even had the ring.
- I have never had a broken bone.
- When I was 5, I walked across hot coals a neighbor had dropped by his house. I don’t remember any of it but have very resilient soles to this day.
- I was an only child up until my parent divorced when I was 8. My mother remarried a year later and I became a middle child with two stepbrothers. Then my father remarried and had a son. A year later my mother had a son.

- I love cats even though they’re a pain in my ass.
- I have never voted for a president who won. True I’ve only had the opportunity to vote 3 times and two of those times I voted for Perot and would’ve have voted for Ralph Nader but he wasn’t on our NC ballots so I picked Gore but my mom voted Bush so it didn’t count since we cancelled each other out.
- I love painting and photography though I’m not very good at either. I’m much better with 3 dimensional arts like sculpture and interior decorating.
- I’m also a kind of technical geek. I love gadgets and equipment and usually get stuck helping my family hook things up. This isn’t a skill. I merely follow the enclosed instructions. I always thought I was pretty good with a computer too but when it comes to a server or any sort of programming (i.e. HTML) I really feel stupid and out of my element. - I’ve been told multiple times that I look like LeAnn Rimes.
- I made myself give up Barbies in 6th grade. It was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done.
- I immediately began writing out my stories rather than acting them out with Barbies. I usually tore up these stories after I wrote them.
- My imagination always seemed to embarrass me until highschool.
- I’m a very picky eater but I love tomatoes and onions (the two foods most picky people don’t like)
- I love the smell of coffee but I don’t like the taste
- I have naturally curly ringlet hair but I prefer it straight
- I’ve been told I don’t show the “normal” level of excitement when receiving gifts. I think this is because I usually don’t like my gifts and am a terrible faker. When I do like something I genuinely like it, there’s no fake bravado about it.
- But, I admit I’d make a terrible Price is Right contestant.
- I often go through stages where I get totally obsessed with things.
- I’m afraid this blogging experience may be one of those stages and one day won’t care to do it anymore.
- I always thought I’d be doing something creative as a career. I would have never thought as a teen that I’d end up with a 8-5 desk job pushing papers.

- I also live 8 miles from the ocean and rarely go to see it
- I love to wear flannel PJ's. On weekends I'll sometimes wear them all day.
